How did the AMC 10/12 Contests go?
The AMC 10A, 12A, 10B, and 12B contests have come and gone. We’ve heard that the B contests were harder than the A contests, which often happens.
The big change is that the AMC’s new online platform has been very quick to return individual scores. The AMC plans to send out AIME cutoffs, etc, in early December.
If you haven’t received it yet, please ask your AMC contest coordinator for your Individual Student Common Core Analysis. This report names the mathematical topic for each problem. For example, if you missed problem 12 on the AMC 10B, it may be useful to know that it is from the following topic:
Statistics and Probability-Conditional Probability and the Rules of Probability
• Use the rules of probability to compute probabilities of compound events in a uniform probability model
• (+) Apply the general Multiplication Rule in a uniform probability model, P(A and B) = P(A)P(B|A) = P(B)P(A|B), and interpret the answer in terms of the model.
Knowing that information may help guide your self study in mathematics.

The Server is a little quiet now, but we expect to make full use of it this spring as we get closer to ARML.
