Dear ,
Welcome to the November newsletter! As the weather turns colder and the days get shorter, we hope you will enjoy curling up with our monthly practice problems. Send us your solutions! We hope to share student solutions prepared in LaTeX, the mathematical typesetting language. We’re also getting ready for our second online math team practice.
November now features the AMC 10 and 12 contests. The AMC rescheduled these contests to ease the turn-around times before the invitational AMC contests in the spring. Your AMC scores is one of the criteria we use to help us select our ARML team for the end of this school year. Good luck on these contests!
Our online practices are on the 2nd Friday of each month, so please join us on Friday, November 12, 2021, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. We’ll work together on a math team event, and then discuss solutions and teamwork. We meet on our Discord server. If you’re interested, please apply early, so that we have time to process your application.

Here’s our new practice problem set for November:
November 2021 Practice Problems
There is no time limit, and there are no restrictions on how you solve these (so don’t worry about simulating contest conditions). Just practice on these problems, alone, or with friends! We would love to see your original solutions; please reply to this email address with your work. If you prepare your solution in LaTeX, the math typesetting language, we might include it in our official solutions packet, which we’ll send out in December.
Have you enjoyed our October practice problems yet? Try them out!
October 2021 Practice Problems
We’ll give you a little more time to work on the October problems before we send out our official solutions. We did receive one incorrect solution to a problem, but the student was very much heading in the right direction! We would love to feature correct and insightful student solutions, alongside our own.
